My Ancestor Was A Freemason. Pat Lewis
This booklet is for the family historian who is trying to find information about ancestors who could have been Freemasons, and possibly portraits or photographs of them. The author finds that it is not necessary to have a knowledge of ritual in order to research Masonic ancestry, and it can be possible to identify artefacts such as china, glass, certificates, aprons and other regalia frequently inherited without any information regarding their origin. The booklet concentrates on England and Wales, which are under the jurisdiction of the United Grand Lodge, and looks at the information to be found in record office, libraries and bookshops.
